How to manually set the database to read-only mode

When database read-only mode is enabled, no modifications can be made to the database. Messages, alarms and manual operations will continue to work as normal. To manually set your EntraPass database to read-only mode complete the following steps:

1  - Log into the EntraPass server or workstation application.

2  - Right-click anywhere in the main window to launch the menu.

3  - Click Database read-only.

4  - Click Yes to confirm the action.

5  - Click OK to close the confirmation box. The network database state indicator, located at the bottom left of the screen, will turn from green to black.

6  - To restore your database back to normal mode, right-click anywhere in the main window and click Database read-only. The status indicator located at the bottom left of the screen will turn from black to green.

NOTE: The database will remain in read-only mode until an operator disables it or the server is restarted.
